Main Dermocosmetic Actives
Aloe
Aloe vera leaves contain a gel composed mainly of water and essential nutrients, which offers numerous benefits to the skin. Aloe soothes irritation and itching, and is particularly suitable after exposure to the sun or in case of burns. This extraordinary natural substance improves the healing process, firms the skin and fights skin aging; furthermore, thanks to its antibacterial properties, it counteracts the proliferation of bacteria on the skin, preventing imperfections. Aloe vera is also an excellent moisturizer, as it easily penetrates the layers of the epidermis; at the same time, it forms a film on the surface of the skin, protecting it from UV rays, wind and fine dust.
Clay
Clay is a class of sedimentary rocks known for their exceptional remineralizing, anti-inflammatory and purifying properties.
This mineral is particularly appreciated for maintaining the lipid balance in oily and combination skin, thanks to its excellent ability to absorb excess sebum. As a result, clay is a valuable ingredient in skin care, helping to prevent the formation of comedones and other skin imperfections.
Clay is rich in magnesium, iron, silicon and calcium, and is also renowned for its role in reactivating skin microcirculation and cell regeneration.
Thanks to its soothing and anti-inflammatory effects, clay is also suitable for sensitive skin.
Urea
Urea is a molecule produced by the human body and represents one of the fundamental components of the natural hydration factor (NMF).
Derived from protein metabolism, urea acts as a skin humectant, locking in hydration levels and functioning as a moisturizer and emollient.
Unfortunately, the percentage of urea present in NMF decreases with age, which can lead to increased skin dryness and a greater risk of developing atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.
Urea, in fact, plays a crucial role in the prevention of skin barrier dysfunction, contributing not only to the aesthetic appearance, but to the overall health of the skin.
Volcanic dust
Volcanic ash, produced during explosive volcanic activity, consists of finely fragmented rock and mineral particles less than 2 mm in diameter.
This substance represents a significant resource for skin exfoliation, as it is composed of minerals such as iron and magnesium, as well as containing an appreciable component of sulfur, known for its soothing properties against skin disorders.
Thanks to its ability to absorb excess sebum and remove dead skin cells, volcanic ash helps improve the appearance of the skin, giving it brightness and softness.
It also has antibacterial, detoxifying and purifying properties, which make it a valuable ingredient for products intended for the care of sensitive skin.
Chamomile
Chamomile is a plant native to southern and eastern Europe, belonging to the Asteraceae family.
Appreciated for its delicate scent and renowned since ancient times for its anti-inflammatory properties, chamomile is used to calm irritation of internal tissues, including wounds and dermatitis.
Chamomile has a soothing and refreshing action, and is delicate enough to be used around the eyes and on the most sensitive skin.
